Benefits of eBooks over Traditional Books

When ebooks first came out, I didn't like them. I became a writer because I love books and print materials. I love the smell, the feel of turning the page. I still love those things but I have realized that ebooks do have value. I thought I'd share with you my thoughts.

I still love print books, don't get me wrong. But I use eBooks too. I write them and read them and I think that they are a great alternative to the print version. Here's why.

More Convenient

I travel a lot and on trips, I often read more than one book. It's a lot to carry around! This is where eBooks come in. All I need is one reader and I get to enjoy as many books I can read on the trip.

Save Money

I like buying books but some of them, I only read once. This is a waste of money! I know, I could go to the library but it's somehow not the same. Over the long term, buying digital books saves money - especially if you buy a lot of them, or you got the reader for free.

More Portable

We move a lot and transporting books from house to house does get a little old. Meaning, I get tired of packing and unpacking boxes of books that I barely read. Digital books read on a single reader, like a Kindle, are much easier to transport from place to place.
